First Spouse Gold Coins Investment
I was reading back in June on Active Duty Military Money and Matters about these coins selling out immediately and then he Ebay'd them and made a profit. I tried it out and bought the Thomas Jefferson First Spouse coin. He didn't have a spouse, so it has Lady Liberty on it. After shipping costs, I paid $447 and sold it for $510. So I made about $60, which turns out to be a 12% return in one month...not bad.In the same post he mentioned he bought the 20th Anniversary of the silver American eagle coin sets, for $100, and noticed that they were selling for $500 on Ebay. I will look at more coins now. This "flipping" coins has peaked my interest.
Gold hit $710 an ounce yesterday and these coins are 1/2 an ounce. These coins in gold, alone, are worth $355. Plus, the gold is formed into a coin and there is a limited supply of these coins. I only paid $447 for the coin with shipping, so I only paid a $90 premium on the gold ($447 - $355). I think these make for a good investment. I will be checking out more US Mint releases and blogging about these too.

Be careful some of the coins may not sell to well. Do you homework. Secondly, I bought the Thomas Jefferson coin as well. I am waiting to sell when I actually get the coin. I think that you will get a bigger return more like 25%-35%. However, If you wait too long you will break even
Vause
Hoe can you only break even when gold inventory is down by 34% at this time and we are getting ready nto go into the christmas ordering season which makes for 55% fo all gold sold inthe year.
secondly there are literally thousands of collectors waiting to get there hands on these gold coins I predict in 4 years the first four coins will top $4000 to $5000. each as the us mint was not prepared for the unusuual run on the gold coins and way under produced them take a 2006 Gold Eagle anniversary set sold at the mint for just over $2600 sold out in a few weeks and if you can find one will you in raw condition over $7500.00 and graded in 70 condition over $40,000 not as bad return at I thin the people are selling way to soon as many investors and collectors do I now have over 30 of the first spouse coins and some i purchased for less than mint issue price and I think I will in the next 2 months will make at least $500.00 each if I choose to sell them this soon I also now have a complete set 70 in all 3 spouses pairs proof and uncirculated and will continue to collect them all the way through series future predictions place a premium of well over $150,000 for a complete set of 70 at the end of the series not bad for a less than $4000.00 investment in 16 years I have not seen any thing else come close to that return in the last 2 years.
