House and Senate Approve 3.5% Raise for Military
It's about time we start to receive equal money compared to our civilian counterparts. The only way this 3.5% won't go through now is if President Bush vetoes it. This would be political suicide. The President and the DoD have been putting quality of life issues aside to support the Global War on Terror. President Bush wanted a 3% pay raise and the House and Senate added .5%. Without getting into partisan politics, I just assumed that a Democrat ran House and Senate wouldn't give us more money. I don't care what political party you are in, if you give me more money in my paycheck then I'm fine with that.
Just remember that the intent of this post is not to start a political discussion. Are you excited or what?
